Best Coaching for CBSE Class 10 Boards in Rohini: What to Look For in 2026
Class 10 board is the first real exam that goes on your child's permanent record. Score patterns set here often predict the stream they end up in for Class 11. So the choice of coaching for Class 10 matters more than the choice you made in Class 8 or 9.
If you are a parent in Rohini, Pitampura, Shalimar Bagh or Ashok Vihar evaluating Class 10 coaching options for the upcoming year, here is what we would prioritise.
Coverage of the full CBSE syllabus by January
The CBSE Class 10 board exam is in February or March. A good coaching institute should finish the entire syllabus by mid-January, leaving 6 to 8 weeks pure for revision, doubt clearing and full mock exams.
Ask the coaching institute: "When will you finish the syllabus?" If the answer is February, walk away. You need a January finish.
Subject-wise weekly tests
Class 10 board has five subjects (Math, Science, Social Science, English, plus second language). Each one needs to be tested chapter-wise every week. Many institutes only test Math and Science properly and let Social Science slide. Then board day arrives and your child has no muscle memory for writing a 35-mark history answer in 25 minutes.
At ESA, Saturday tests rotate through every subject. By the time boards arrive, your child has written a chapter test in every subject roughly twenty times.
10 plus previous year papers practised
CBSE follows a very specific paper pattern. The marking is strict on language. Specific keywords give specific marks. The only way to internalise this is by practising actual past papers under exam conditions and getting them corrected.
Ask: "How many full previous year papers will my child write before boards?" The answer should be at least 10. With proper correction and feedback.
Mock exams under exam conditions
Once a month from October onwards, your child should be writing a full three-hour mock paper. Same time slot as the real exam. Same exam hall feel. Same marking pattern. By February the actual board exam feels familiar.
Doubt sessions till the night before
The week before boards is the most important week. Doubts that have been bottled up for months come out. Good institutes run extra doubt sessions in this final week. Some students need an hour of one-on-one time on Vector formulas the day before the Math exam. The institute should be willing to give it.
What ESA does for Class 10 students
Our Class 10 batches run six days a week, evening slots from 5 PM to 8:30 PM. Saturdays are reserved for weekly chapter tests. The full CBSE syllabus finishes in the first week of January every year.
From January to mid-February, we run only revision, doubt clearing and full mock exams. Each student writes at least 10 mock papers in this period. The teacher correcting your child's paper is the same teacher who taught the chapter all year.
This is why our Class 10 average score has stayed around 84 percent for the last three years. With 32 plus students above 90 every cycle.
