Free Demo Class in Rohini: What Parents Should Watch For in 7 Days

At Excellent Students' Academy in Rohini we offer 7 days of free demo classes for every new student. Most coaching institutes do. But many parents enrol or reject after watching just one class - which is too little information. This guide is the checklist we wish every parent used during those 7 days, whether at ESA or any other institute.

Day 1 - Walk in, observe the room

Before the class starts, count the chairs. A small batch is the single biggest predictor of teaching quality. At ESA we cap batches around 18 students. If a "demo class" suddenly has 35 chairs, you are probably watching a marketing class, not a regular batch.

Day 2 - Watch how a doubt is handled

Sit in a class. Look for the moment a student raises their hand. Does the teacher answer immediately, or push it to "after class"? At a good institute the doubt is handled in class for everyone's benefit. At a bad one it is brushed away to keep the lesson on schedule.

Day 3 - Ask for the chapter notes

If the institute claims "we have our own notes", ask to see them. Faculty-prepared notes for the actual board syllabus are very different from photocopied previous-year material. We share our chapter notes openly with every demo student.

Day 4 - Saturday test day

If you can, time your demo so it overlaps the institute's test day. Watch how the test is administered. Phones collected? Time strictly enforced? Paper of the chapter just taught? These are the basics. Many institutes claim to test weekly but do not.

Day 5 - Talk to a current parent

Ask the front desk to give you the WhatsApp of any current parent willing to talk. We do this on request at ESA. If the institute refuses, that itself is information.

Day 6 - Look at last year's result sheet

Any coaching institute should be able to show you the full board result sheet of last year - not a poster of toppers, the full list with marks. Most cannot. The few that can are the ones serious about results.

Day 7 - The fee conversation

On the last day talk to admin about fees, refund policy, what happens if a student misses a month, and whether the WhatsApp group with the mentor is included. Vague fee structures are an early sign of trouble.
