Every student faces different challenges. The question is not whether your child is studying enough hours, it is whether the support around them matches the way they actually learn. Here is how to tell.

Is Your Child Getting the Right Support for Better Learning? A Rohini Parent's Guide

ByESA Editorial·Last reviewed ·7 min read

Every parent in Rohini eventually sits across the dining table with a worried thought. The marks are not where they should be. The child is sitting at the desk for hours, but the next test result still looks the same. The tutor was changed last year. The coaching was changed this year. What is actually going wrong?

The honest answer is rarely that the child is not working hard enough. In our experience running batches at ESA Sector 7, the missing variable is almost always the right kind of support, not more hours. Hours without the right support multiply effort but not understanding.

What "right support" actually means

Right support is not a longer class or a thicker notebook. It is a teacher who notices when your child is stuck on a particular type of question and stops to fix the underlying concept, not the symptom. It is weekly testing that exposes weak chapters early so they can be revisited before they snowball into the next term. It is doubt sessions where your child feels comfortable asking the same question three times if needed.

If any of these are missing, even a sincere student stagnates.

Signs your child is not getting the support they need

Watch for these patterns. If two or more apply, the support around your child needs to change.

  • They study for hours but cannot explain what they studied. This is a sign of passive reading without active feedback.
  • They are scoring the same range across every test, no matter the chapter. This means they are repeating the same mistakes without correction.
  • They have stopped asking questions. Silent students are often students who have given up on the current setup.
  • Their notebook is full but their performance is flat. Beautiful notes mean nothing if no one is testing whether they understood.
  • You have to constantly push them to start studying. Motivation is downstream of progress. Students who see results push themselves.

What good academic support looks like

At ESA, we built our weekly structure around what consistently produces results.

  • Small batches. Class strength is capped so every student gets eye contact and individual feedback in the same session.
  • Weekly chapter tests. Not optional. Not skippable. Tests are how we catch weak topics within a week of teaching, not at the end of the term.
  • Saturday doubt sessions. Students who do not understand something get a structured slot to fix it, not a quick answer between two chapters.
  • Faculty consistency. The teacher named in your child's program is the teacher who actually teaches the batch. No swaps, no junior substitutes.
  • Monthly parent meetings. A proper sit-down with the subject teacher to discuss what is going well, what is not, and what to do next.

The shift you usually see in 60 days

When a student moves into a setup with the right support, the change is rarely dramatic in week one. The first thing that changes is their attitude toward studying. They stop dreading tests. By week six, you usually see a 10 to 15 mark improvement on weekly tests. By the time the term exam arrives, the change is visible on the report card.

None of this requires a "special student." It requires a setup that is built around learning, not seat time.

How to check this without committing

The simplest way to check is to sit your child in a real batch for a week. Not a curated demo. The actual class they would attend Monday to Saturday. Watch how they react after three days. Ask them whether the questions they had at the start of the week were answered.

At ESA Rohini we offer 7 days of free demo classes. Real batches, real teachers, real tests. You and your child decide after.
